Longevity – Start

Longevity (Start) is supplied as a multi-component laboratory research reference set for in-vitro and laboratory research use only. The Longevity (Start) set (Catalog STACK-LONGEVITY-START) contains three individually documented research reference materials of synthetic origin: Epithalon, Thymalin, and NAD+. Each component is provided as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in its own sealed vial, accompanied by a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis documenting identity and a minimum purity of 98% by HPLC.

The three components in the Longevity (Start) set represent distinct chemical classes of interest to analytical and comparative peptide chemistry. Epithalon is a short synthetic tetrapeptide with the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, a low-molecular-weight linear peptide commonly used as a reference standard in HPLC and mass spectrometric method development. Thymalin is a polypeptide fraction of thymic origin (produced synthetically for this reference material), typically characterized as a mixture of low-molecular-weight peptides and used as an identity/comparison reference for chromatographic profiling. NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, oxidized form) is a pyridine dinucleotide cofactor consisting of nicotinamide and adenine ribonucleotides joined by a pyrophosphate bridge, and is distinct from the two peptide components in both molecular class and analytical behavior (for example, UV absorbance near 260 nm and characteristic negative-mode ESI-MS signatures).

Because the set combines two peptides and a nucleotide cofactor in a single reference kit, it is well suited to side-by-side analytical workflows: comparative RP-HPLC retention profiling, LC-MS/MS identity confirmation, purity re-verification, calibration curve construction, and stability or solubility characterization studies. Each lyophilized powder should be handled under conditions appropriate to lyophilized reference materials (protection from moisture, light, and repeated temperature cycling); reconstitution solvent selection, concentration, and storage of any reconstituted solutions are decisions for the receiving laboratory based on its own validated protocols.
